OLGA TSYGANOVA
Olga Tsyganova (1994) was born in St.Petersburg, Russia and grew up between Russia and the U.S.. Being between different worlds since her early childhood she is curious to how culture and stories shape us. She studied Clinical Psychology with emphasis on narrative psychology and gender studies. All the while she kept dancing and exploring the body. After many years dancing she searched out for physical theater which brought her to the Mime School (Amsterdam). For the past 4 years she has been developing herself as performer and theater maker, deepening the understanding of the body, body in space and the voice.

What is in the underworld in our culture, in the earth of our body and how to dance within the complexities of our world. Primarily a mover, she also works with texts and music composition. She graduated from the Mime School in June of 2023. “I take theater as a space for magic and for un-pealing layers that come over us in daily life.
How can we talk about things going on now, while also observing, loving, exposing, caring deeply for the human condition and the world.”

THEATER as a way to make a new language and embodiment of those things that are not yet here, only imagined and felt, and let them awaken in a world dedicated to reaffirming life.
